It’s a pretty simple process...

I use a simple and clear system that allows the work to flow wonderfully. That way both of us know exactly what our expectations are.

My goal is to help your business stand out by taking it from ordinary to special. So I inject your personality, your brand message and your voice... and tell your story. This is what will make customers want to engage with your business and use your product or services.

Of course, the process may vary slightly depending on the deliverables (blogging, website copy, sales pages, etc.) you want.

So here's a general idea of how I do it:

Step 1: We Chat for 30 Minutes... or So

I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute consultation to talk about your about what you're looking for. In this conversation, we'll discuss your business, your audience and your goals -- and how I might be able to help. If you think I might be the person you need (YAY!), we move on Step 2.

Step 2: The (Decent) Proposal

I draft and email a proposal (including deliverables, estimated timeline and a quote) for you to review. If you just love what you see and can't wait to get started, great! If you have questions or concerns, we'll discuss them. I want to make sure it feels right for you!

Step 3: Gimme the 411

You've agreed to the proposal and you're raring to go! Not so fast, I'll need some more info from you. I'll send you a Branding Questionnaire that will help me get to know you, your business and your needs better, and understand how best to deliver for you.

Step 4: Finding the Sweet Spot

This is where I brainstorm, research, use the info you’ve given me, yell at the screen… delete, rewrite, then send you an excerpt or two, so you can get a feel of what I’ve written so far. This is not the time for fine-tuning. It’s just for you to see if I’m going in the general direction where you want to go and whether the voice and tone sound good to you. Tell me what you think, what you like, what you don’t like… and so on.

Step 5: I Work My Magic

Once you’re on board with what I’ve provided, I work my magic. Okay… not real magic. I get to work crafting the kind of copy that we’ve discussed and agreed on. This is where the real work gets done... And, I’ll keep you in the loop. I’ll ask more questions if I need additional information. And once I’m done, you get to review. I look for your comments, critique... praises. We can discuss any changes you want and revise the document accordingly.

Step 6: Time to Celebrate (and go make some money), Your Copy Is a Hit!

Your copy is in your inbox. It’s all yours… and it’s a cause for celebration! Now you can go make even more money.
